Museum Docents

We are seeking museum docents on Thursday Evenings and Sundays to showcase our historic house and exhibitions. Docents will monitor the flow of patrons through the Museum. For visitors who wish to have a guided tour, the Docent will lead that tour through the Museum.

The Museum has a number of exhibit galleries in the rooms on the first floor of the Eden Woolley House. Two house permanent exhibits (updated regularly). The third features changing exhibits. The Richmond Gallery features regularly changing exhibits. The current exhibit is "Beginnings: Ocean Township’s First People". The Our Town Gallery explores the history of Ocean Township, as well as changing mini-exhibits, which currently is “Deal Test Site: 100 years of History" The Hearth and Home Gallery explains local life at the Jersey Shore and how it has changed over the years.

Docent shifts are available Sunday from 1:00-4:00 PM and Thursday Evenings from 7:00 -9:00 PM. You will be able to select when you would like to volunteer.
